Dinner plenary: Education and the new human biotechnologies
Monday 25 July 2011, 6:30pm - 8:00pm

LOCATION: MARY DUKE BALLROOM

In this dinner plenary presentation, Dr. Evelynn Hammonds, Dean of Harvard College and Professor of the History of Science, shared her thoughts on the state of education regarding human biotechnologies. How are we doing in educating students on the full societal implications of these powerfully consequential technologies and practices?  Where are we failing and what needs to be done?  Her presentation was followed by commentary from two Tarrytown meeting colleagues.
