Working Session: Grounding Our Concern / Society and Politics
Wednesday 28 July 2010, 1:00pm - 2:30pm

This session expanded upon, deepened and continued the discussions that were begun Tuesday afternoon following the plenary framing presentations on "Grounding Our Concerns" and "Society and Politics." Three additional short presentations set the stage for a full exchange of views on the key questions: Why do we really care about technologies that can radically transform human biology? and "In what ways does the advent of new human biotechnologies, and the need to adopt new policies, challenge conventional social and political worldviews and alignments?
