Rori Rohlfs studies population genetics and molecular evolution as a postdoc in Rasmus Nielsen's lab. She's broadly interested in the forces motivating the development of novel genetic technologies and the practical social ramifications of the implementation of these technologies. Rori's particularly interested in the use of genetic methods in forensic identification. Specifically, she studies how population genetic assumptions made in familial searching affect the accuracy of relative identification results for people with varying genetic backgrounds.
