Katherine Darling is a Ph.D. student at the University of California San Francisco, studying at The Center for Health and Community in the department of Social and Behavioral Sciences. She is a Predoctoral Scholar with a BS in Molecular Environmental Biology, and an emphasis in
Human Health and the Environment from the University of California, Berkeley. Her current research is in public health and scholarship in science and technology studies and her general interest areas are the sociology of race and gender within epidemiology and genetics, as well as the history of epidemiology and public health surveillance.
