Jake Orr received his M.A. International Human Rights with concentrations in Human Trafficking and Sustainable Development from the University of Denver’s Josef Korbel School of International Studies in 2010. In 2007, he graduated with a B.A. in International Politics and History from San Diego State University. His graduate research explored human rights, education, and economic development in China. He focused on how the government’s One-Child Policy of forced sterilizations and abortions is affecting China’s sex ratio, the "4-2-1" problem, and the trafficking of infants and children within China and around the world.

He is also interested in the ethics and environmental dilemmas poised by GMO’s, the international application of intellectual property laws, and renewable/sustainable energy and agriculture.
