Jacob Moses joined the staff of the Hastings Center in July 2007 as a Research Assistant. In 2009, he became the Center's first New Media Director. In this role he produces multimedia, social media content, and websites to connect the Center's work to a wider audience and to help promote a rich online discourse about issues in bioethics. His research interests in bioethics center on design and human biotechnologies, including genetics and synthetic biology. His undergraduate thesis examined the science and ethics of radical life extension. He graduated from Vassar College with honors in Science, Technology and Society.
The Hastings Center is an independent, nonpartisan, and nonprofit bioethics research institute founded in 1969. The Center's mission is to address fundamental ethical issues in the areas of health, medicine, and the environment as they affect individuals, communities, and societies.
